two great things i experienced at starbucks today
1. a seat by the window with the sun shining brightly outside. 2. red velvet cupcake accompanied by a cinnamon dulche latte.

you're right. precision of language is something that americans and especially christian americans should take more seriously. it's so easy to fall into though, but each time we do we subconsciously desensitize ourselves to worldwide issues.
"i'm starving" reminds me of the book "the giver" where the main character, jonas, says this and is severely scolded for his lack of precision because in their utopian society where everything is so strictly regulated that it was a big deal to even lightly suggest that the community would allow someone to even feel hunger let alone starve.
